One size for each shopper, from your own size chart.
Shoppers enter their height and weight, and see a figure drawn from those numbers. They change it where it isn’t like them. Shapewiz gives one size for this dress, abaya, kurta or suit, and says how it fits at each area.

Most size returns start with a guess.
A size chart asks for a bust in inches. Your customer knows she is 5′4″, about 60 kg, and a medium in most shops. So she guesses, messages you, or orders two sizes and sends one back.
- 87% of shoppers at a German online fashion store named “it doesn’t fit” as a reason they return clothes.1
- 42% of them order several sizes to choose from.1
- 75% of US adults have returned something bought online because it didn’t fit.2
Shapewiz starts from what people know: height, weight, and how their body compares with a figure. It gives one size from your own chart, and shows how it fits before they order.

Height and weight. Body shape. Then one size.

Your size chart, on your shopper’s body.
The Size chart tab shows your own chart, with the shopper’s size marked. After the size finder, each measurement is drawn on their figure, beside theirs. Or as a plain table, in cm or inches.
Your chart decides the size. Shapewiz reads it the way it is measured: body or garment, laid flat or all the way round, with the room each garment needs. It only names sizes the product sells.

Made for abayas, kurtas and suits.
An abaya is about length. A kurta chart measures the garment flat on a table. A suit is bought as one size. Shapewiz sizes each the way it is sold.

Each cause of a size return, and what Shapewiz does about it.
One size from what they know
Height, weight and a figure they adjust. No tape measure, and the answer comes from your chart.
The other size, and why
A line per area, Tighter · Regular · Looser, and “Want more room at the hips? Try L.” The choice is made before the order.
Your chart read as it’s measured
Body or garment, laid flat or all the way round, with the room each garment needs. Test this chart shows what sample shoppers get.
Abayas and dresses by length
Where the hem falls on this shopper: at the ankle, at the floor, or with heels.

Sizes shoppers needed
Analytics shows shoppers who fell between sizes or needed one your chart doesn’t have, chart by chart.
We don’t publish a returns figure yet. The largest public tests of size advice, run by Zalando with hundreds of thousands of shoppers, cut size-related returns by about 4 to 7%.3 Results differ by store. When a store measures ours with a proper test, we’ll say how it was measured, for how long, and against what.

Built on measured people.
The size finder’s body model is built on tape measurements of 23,059 adults, and checked against surveys of about 48,000 more in the UK, South Asia and the Gulf. At the same height and weight, shoppers in Pakistan tend to carry more at the waist. The model adjusts for that by itself.

Is your chart a photo?
The AI Chart Reader reads a photo or PDF of your chart, in English or Arabic, and fills the grid for you to check. It marks the cells it isn’t sure of and keeps your photo beside the grid. Nothing goes live until you save, and we don’t keep the file.
Light on your product page.
Every product page loads one script of about 10 KB, compressed. The panel loads only when a shopper taps the link, and nothing is sent while they browse. The size link holds its space, so the page doesn’t jump.
Answers stay on the shopper’s device.
The size is worked out in the shopper’s browser. Their answers are saved on their device only, and “Delete my answers” clears them.
